Weekend at Chatuchak Market!

January, 27th 2018

Chatuchak market was one of the popular market in Thailand which being one of tourists favorite shopping spot. We started our trip at 11 am and accompanied by our lovely buddies Tan and Nampueng. Tan was the one who waited for us in front of our dorm and Nampueng met us in the bus station. It was about 30 minutes journey, then we got off the bus. We arrived at the MRT station, but no, we were not taking the MRT to anywhere. In the MRT station, we stopped only for exchange our money. Then, headed to the center of Chatuchak market. We passed a park before arriving at the market center. The park was pretty, with high tress, lake, and green grass. Many of the tourists or even local people sat enjoying the view of the park. Children also playing in its playground. Well, back to Chatuchak market! There were a lot of unique things, started from bags, clothes, shoes, accessories and many others. We walked along the market to look for the things we wanted to buy. Due to the amount of people there, we were separated into two groups. Our group was accompanied by Tan and the other group accompanied by Nampueng. After walking for about 1 and a half hours, each of us filled our hands with things that we wanted. All of those things were gift for our family, friends and relatives in Indonesia.
Having done with all the shopping stuffs, we were felt very tired and hungry. Then, we decided to go have lunch. Even though it was 4 pm already. We took MRT and headed to one of the mall nearby. The mall called Union mall, only took 3 to 4 minutes by MRT. By the time we got to the mall, we directly went to Mc Donalds. Food ordered, we ate together while having little talk. After having lunch, it was the time to go back to dorm. All of us have already enough with the trip today. It was a long day. However, we enjoyed it as much as the tired felt within our self.
That moment suddenly knocked my head and make me realizes that in every journey we would be in a state where we felt like we could not do it anymore. But, as long as we love the things we do we will try our best to survive and do it over and over again. In fact, we all decided to go to Chatuchak market again next week. Yes, see you next week Chatuchak!
