Unfortunately, the President could not stay longer due to another schedule. However, we thanked the President of PNRU very much that despite all the tight schedule, he still made his precious time for attending the orientation and met us. At 10 am Dr. Wilaichitra Nilsawat gave an overview of Project implementation and introduction of schools administrators or representatives. Moreover, a fourth batch SEA Teacher named Mr. Ahlo Yersor, usually called James, presented about lesson learned and experiences gained from SEA Teacher project back when he was in Indonesia. It was wonderful that other student from other country gained so many knowledge and experiences from Indonesia. He also tried to respect the Indonesian culture and thanked all the buddies who accompanied him through a lot in Indonesia. For that, he joined the essay competition held in Lampung and became the first winner. So proud of him and to know him.

Next, it was our turn to present and introduce our University in brief. Presentation included our names, University’s name, classroom pictures and our Expectation as the member of SEA Teacher batch 5. Each SEA Teacher presented their own university unless the three of us who came from Pattimura University. Yeri, Dirk and me presented together to make it simpler and faster. Finally, we met and discussed about the activities in schools with school administrators, representatives, university advisor.

I have Ajarn Pla as my university advisor. Even though it was the final session in the orientation, but it did not end there. To close the orientation officially, we were invited to have lunch together with all the advisors and staffs at Phranakhon Grand View.

At 2 pm, we joined Ajarn Wilaichitra’s class in ITDSC building. The students were 2nd year of English Major of PNRU. They were given an online Journal and required to read based on the topic decided and later on they presented the topic in front of the class. Before that, they had divided into several groups consisted of 3 to 4 students. Each of us were put in the groups. I was in 2nd group. Consisted of 4 students and their topic was 5 most popular US President. The students were very friendly and kind. They gladly accepted me as the part of the group and kept asking me questions. The facilities in ITDSC building was computers and internet connection so that the students were free to search for the material in the internet. We discussed a little about most popular President of US that we all knew and then we searched information through the internet. Cheetah, one of the member of the group was assigned to make the Power Point Presentation. Probably we could say that we were the first group who finished the task. While we were waiting for another group to finish, we shared many experiences and got to know each other. Turned out, we took several pictures and share the pictures on social media.

Presentation time! Aman’s group was the first and the last group. Ajarn Wilaichitra suddenly asked all the SEA Teachers to stand in front of the class to be questioned by the students. They asked many things, started from the the tourism spots in Indonesia, traditional food of Indonesia and the latest popular song in Indonesia. Then, all of us, SEA Teachers, sang one of the popular song in Indonesia entitled AKAD by Payung Teduh. Let me said that we had a karaoke session in the class. Continued by the students sang Thai popular songs. We really had a great time back at the class. The students got along with us and enjoy the time as much as we did. I guessed, one point to be a teacher was we have to make a sharp turn sometimes. We could make the class enjoyable by letting the students expressed themselves. It could be in many shapes and forms, therefore being aware was the main thing teacher should know.
Finished with the class, we went back to have some rest. At 7 pm, we went to have dinner. We decided to eat Thai traditional food. Accompanied by Nampueng and Zeen, our buddies, together we went to Central Plaza and had a pleasant dinner. We shared stories, we laughed and after we had full with dinner, we went back to the dorm.

There were many people that I wanted to thanked personally this day. However it was a little bit difficult to mention it one by one. Thus, last but not least, thank you all for the companion and the lessons. I am excitedly waiting for another new lesson and experience!
